About

A small firm. A long memory.

Asili Advisory was founded in Lagos in 2017 by two former operators who'd spent fifteen years inside African businesses. Twelve years on, the firm is still small on purpose.

Our position

We are a five-principal firm. No juniors, no offshore desks, no rotating analysts. The person who sells the engagement is the person inside your business on the last week.

We work with two kinds of company. Ambitious SMEs scaling within Nigeria, often through their first private capital round. And established African brands going pan-African, usually for the second or third time, after the first attempts didn't take.

We are not a strategy house in the McKinsey sense. We do not deliver decks; we deliver decisions. A typical engagement runs twelve weeks, ends with a handover, and survives the rest of the year.

Asili principals
The founders

Adaobi Eze & Tunde Ogun.
Both operators first.

Adaobi spent eight years at a Lagos-listed foods business as COO and built its Ghana entry. Tunde led corporate finance for a Nairobi fintech through two raises and a secondary. They started Asili because neither of them could find consultants who would put their hands on the actual problem.
